This study analyzed the long-term effects of tea consumption by including more than 17,000 people with chronic kidney disease.
The effects of tea were observed in these people from 1999 to 2018, during which 5,835 died, of which 1,823 deaths were from heart disease.

The researchers found that drinking 4 cups of tea daily reduces the risk of death from any cause in people with kidney disease.
However, drinking more than 4 cups of tea may have negative effects on patients with chronic kidney disease.
According to the study, black tea is more effective in this regard than green tea.
The researchers said that they recommend that kidney patients avoid drinking more than 4 cups of tea per day.
They said that both green and black tea should be consumed, while adding sugar to the drink should be avoided.
